As he has gotten older he has become territorial. He is the guardian of the cage. He protects his other cage mates. He gets along fine with them. He is really just scared and he acts big and tough to disguise it. He bats at me with his paws and hisses when I come near the cage, but then runs and hides. He's all talk and no go. None the less, I respect that he wishes me to keep my distance and do so. Because he acts so defensive when I'm near the cage, when I take him out I use heavy gloves. Once he is out and away from what he is protecting, he is a nice guy.

 As of 01/06/06 His health is excellent. Nothing to report at this time.

Update: He died on 11/23/06. The boys will have to find someone new to act as protector of their cage.
