Look at Sterling's gorgeous Grand son! Oooooo, la la! I love this rattie! He is so soft and squishy and the first Merle rattie I've had, so he is special. He has dark merle spots all over his back. Now I'm trying to get other Merle ratties, so I look forward to him helping me out in that department later on this year. Sparkle looked American Blue when he was little, but now he looks more like a Russian Dove. There are equal amounts of Russian blue and American blue throughout his pedigree. Ratties are so much fun because each time they molt they look different than before. |
Update: 07/09/11 My Sparkles has passed away. He reminded me so much of Sterling and also had lost some of the use of his back legs in the last few months of his life but was still getting around just fine. He lived to be about the same age as his Grand Father did. I miss him and Sterling so much... As of 05/23/09 his health is excellent, nothing to report at this time. |
