Skidder is a has very unique markings. He reminds me of someone driving down the road and coming to a skidding stop, thus how he got his name. He is a little shy, but is a nice rattie. He likes to hide in my clothes. He is not outgoing and is a homebody. Even if you open up his cage door to come out, he will stay inside his hammock. He might go to the door and look out, take a few steps, then goes right back inside his cage. He is content to live in this safe environment. | As of 03/03/05, he was born healthy but a couple of months ago he developed sneezing and coughing. I've tried three different antibotics to try and get rid of this problem. I've come to the conclusion, that he must have allergies. Somedays, you don't hear a sound out of him, others he sneezes and coughs. I'm trying to determine what it is in his environment that is bothering him. UPDATE: 11/04/05 He doesn't seem to be sneezing or coughing anymore and is doing good. Update:12/05/05, he is losing weight and showing signs of heart disease. Update:01/11/06 He passed away today. Just two months ago he was doing fine, and now he's gone. So sad. He was a really cute rattie, may be rest in peace. |
