07/07/08	American Blue Berkshire Rex Coat Dumbo Ears	Update: 03/13/09 Silver is the biggest lug of a guy. He is so laid back and mellow. His Father is much more outgoing, but I love his "lazy" temperament. You can lay him on his back in your hand and he just stays in that positive looking up at you. He trusts humans so much. This is Sterling's beautiful son! His nickname is Silver. Silver is named after his dearly beloved and departed Mother Sparkle and his Father Sterling. He is just like his Father. Very squishy and cuddly. He is sitting on my shoulder chattering away as I write this. A minute ago he was cuddled inside my shirt. I love this rattie with all my heart. He will carry on for his Father Sterling who has touched every human heart who has had the pleasure of getting his loving kisses. Including the classrooms where I've done presentations. The kids love Sterling so much. I hope they come to love his Son also. His son is not yet a kissy rattie like his Father but I'm working on it! Even so he is still very loving and cuddly. He has big shoes to fill I know. But I think he'll fill them! :>)	Update: 05/07/09 Silver's abscess redeveloped near his ear. I was not able to get it to drain. I'm not sure if he really had a form of cancer or the infection from the abscess got into his blood stream. He was fine up until the end. He was eating and acting normal. The abscess had not grown. It was just there, almost like a permanent part of his face. I don't believe he suffered at all, but I am surprised and sorrowed by his early departure. He was Sterling's only son and will be greatly missed. I told Sterling of his sons passing. It's sad when children don't out live their parents. I think on some level he understood and he looked sad. Silver, rest in peace you sweet fuzzy blue guy. One day we will meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. Update: 03/13/09 Silver has been recovering from an abscess under his chin. I'm not sure how he got it but it's possible it's a bite from his lady friend, one day it wasn't there and the next it was. It has now drained and I'm putting Neosporin on it to help it heal. Update: 10/15/08 His health is excellent. Nothing to report at this time.
