When I first looked at this ratties face the name Pea Pod just jumped into my mind. He just looks like a little Pea Pod. Being his Mother is Sweet Pea, I thought a Pea Pod was kind of like a Sweet Pea. Anyway, he's darling and sweet and as nice as they come, so I'm very grateful he's a part of my life. He is a gorgeous rattie inside and out. | Update: 12/24/09 I found Pod in a state of hibernation, or hypo thermic shock. It appears his body temperature dropped and he drifted off to sleep or unconsciousness, I'm assuming because the temperature got too cold in the area where he was. I have a space heater in this area but it's possible as the heat rises it makes the bottom cage too cool. (It's about 62 in our basement.) I tried to revive him by placing his healing unit on a heating pad but he never regained consciousness. He was a good rattie. But after he got breed he became aggressive toward other males and had to be separated to live by himself. He did however remain people friendly. As of 10/17/08 nothing to report at this time. |
