Marshmellow has thrown some beautiful babies and she is an excellent mother, but she is not people friendly. She has nipped at me a couple of times and I don't trust her. I have to wear gloves when I'm around her or cleaning her cage. She has even grapped a hold of my glove and tried to bite it. She was one of my very first ratties, when I was still learning what to do or not to do. I made the mistake of picking her up by her tail one time when I couldn't get her to go back into her cage and she has never let me forget it. Advice: don't pick your ratties up by their tails! | So far her health has been excellent. UPDATE: Marshmellow passed away 07/01/04 of unknown causes. |
