RDPY Lil' Special One, is the daughter of Hurley, who is the daughter of a real wild Norwegian rat, Hurkie. Lil' Special One, is 1/4 Norwegian rat.Lil' Special One is very calm and cuddly. She doesn't squirm to get out of my hand, she just sits there cuddled up in the bottom letting me pet her. She is very laid back and sweet. Lil' Special One had five squeakers on the 12th of April. She is such a good mother. Completely non-agressive, but won't budge off her nest or leave her babies. They are starting to get their fur in now and she is finally getting up so I can see them. She has two fawn colored and three beiges ones. All hooded. I thought I'd get all fawns, surprise, surprise. I love having baby ratties, you never know what you are going to get, even with the best genetics possibilities. (Genetics books say, crossing a fawn with a beige will results in all fawns. In her background is a strong agouti gene, I thought I would see that come through too.) |
No health problems to report. As of 03/07/05 her health is still excellent. As of 04/19/05, after giving birth her health continues to be excellent. UPDATE: She died unexpectedly. Cause of death is unknown, she had not been sick. |
