Various Pet Rat Cleaning Aids

Nilodor Tap-A-Drop
Item Description:
This product is by far the best product I have ever used to remove urine odors from my rattery. A tiny little drop on the bedding of your pets cage or housing unit will remove odors for up to 24 hours!
The odor is pleasant and fresh smelling and I have not seen any adverse effectives to my pet rats breathing this in. A tiny little bottle of this miracle solution will last the typical pet rat owner a year of fresh smelling pets and is worth the small investment of cost for a bottle that is so concentrated.
I've had many people enter my home who tell me they can't smell any pet smells at all and I just say thank you with a big smile on my face and giggle inside at my little secret, because of how great this stuff really works!

Lysol 4 in 1 Cleaner
Lavender Breeze Scent
Item Description:
Keeping your pets housing units clean and free of germs and bacteria should be one of the number one concerns you have when caring for your pet rats. They are very susceptible to staf and strep infections that usually start in the water bottle or in the damp bedding of the cage.
Bleach your water bottles weekly and rinse thoroughly. It is best to change the water daily and do not leave standing water in jugs to fill the water bottle, always use fresh. If you use a big water bottle (32 ounces) so you are only having to fill it weekly (because of a busy schedule or going on vacation) and it's not empty by the time you do your weekly cleaning, empty it and then refill it. Do not tap it off leaving old standing water in it that might have developed bacteria over the week.
There are many cleaners on the market and many that claim to be anti-bacterials, claiming to kill 99% of germs, but if you read the label more closely you'll find not all anti-bacterials are the same. Some don't kill all the different kinds. This Lysol product kills more kinds of the bacterials than others I've tried. That's why I'm recommending it. And the Lavender Breeze scent is very easy on your pet nose and doesn't have an overpowering smell but a pleasant one.
I've not experienced any running noses or eyes or sneezing from using this product and this is my third year of using it.
You mix one ounce into fifteen ounces of water. I use a spray bottle. To sanitize you leave it on for 60 seconds to disinfect you leave it on for ten minutes to assure killing all the bacteria. If you wipe anti-bacterials off too soon they don't get all the germs and this starts to create "super" bugs that grow resistant to the ingredients.
This cleaner kills the following bacterias: "Eschericha coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonlla enteria, Streptoccus pyogenes, Rotavirus WA on hard non-porous surfaces in 10 minutes, and kills 99.9% of Staphyloccus aureus on hard non-porous surfaces in 60 seconds."
Note: Bleach will also kill all of these bacteria's but the problem with using bleach is the overpowering odor of it that can linger on surfaces and in the air after using it, thus irritating your pets eyes or noses.
Many people use baking soda as a cleaner and it does a good job cleaning and removing odors but does not kill all of these bacterias listed earlier.
