He is a very nice rattie. A little shyer than Sweet Guy or Blase, he takes a little longer to come out of the cage. But once you are holding him he is content to just stay cuddled inside your shirt.
Champ died Friday March 23, 2007. He had gotten a wound on the top of his back from one of the other guys. It didn't heal because he kept getting "picked" on in the boys cage, by someone, who I don't know. So I took him out of the cage so I could tend better to his wound. I kept triple antibiotic cream on it but he kept picking at it. Possibly as it healed it started to itch? It just didn't heal and the hair on his back didn't grow back. I think the infection must have spread inside, even though the outside was a scab. He wasn't coughing or sneezing or didn't have a runny nose so I didn't think to put him on oral antibiotics. I guess now as an after thought I should have.
Now my little rattery "mascot" who posed so nice for the camera has left for Rainbow Bridge. I'm not going to remove his picture though. I'll keep it as a "tribute" to him.
