09/21/09	Beige Bareback Dumbo Rex Velveteen	Catch is a nice rattie girl. Outgoing and assertive. A typical girly girl, lol. She is a special girl that is a dwarf carrier. It is believed that the dwarf gene does not easily allow the formation of tumors and it's my hope that she will genetically strengthen a section of my lines I've been working with to improve it's overall longevity by not allowing tumors to afflict the offspring. Also, genetically I'm not sure what fur type Catch really has. She came from parents who were not rex rats but as a baby she displayed rex fur. As she's matured none of the typical rex traits can be seen including curly whiskers. However, her fur is thicker and courser than a normal standard fur is, which is a rex trait. I'm suspecting that she is a mutuation to the Harley or Satin coat and I'm working with Everwild Rattery in New York who is a genetics expert to try and unravel the mystery of Catch and her siblings who also displayed this rex type fur when they were little.	As of: 01/01/10 her health is excellent.
